Attraction Description / Itinerary:

Tour to Yanartas (‘burning stone’) is specially organised in the evening because it is more attractive to visit the flames of Chimera in the dark. A pick-up service is available from all hotels in the Kemer resort. You will drive to the tour start point and meet a guide there. He will give you information about the tour program and at 5:30 pm your safari tour will start.

You will drive by Jeep through Kuzdere, Camyuva and Tekirova until you arrive to the Cirali Beach. Do not forget to bring your swimming suit because you will have a swimming break at this 3 km long, beautiful beach. A short drive from there will take you to the fire mountain Yanartas located above the Cirali Village near Olympos. This hill is also known as Chimera due to the myth about a fire spewing monster with the head of a lion, the body of a goat and the tail of a snake. You are recommended to wear comfortable shoes as you will walk up a stony path.

When you reach the flames of Chimera you will have enough time to enjoy this fascinating natural phenomenon. As told in myths, a monster Chimera brings fire to earth from seven layers deep. Actually a reason for these flames is a natural underground gas source. These flames burn all year round and are especially attractive to visit in the dark.

After spending mystery time at Chimera hill you will drive to Ulupinar Waterfall Restaurant and have a dinner there (fish or chicken, starter plate, salad and seasonal fruits). At 10.00 pm you will leave the restaurant and drive back to Kemer. Approximate arrival time is 11:00-11:30 pm. It is an amazing trip and unforgettable experience. Time spend in a mystical atmosphere will stay in your memory for a long time.
