Daily Tours and Airport Transfer provider. SARIGERME AREA; Sarigerme and its wonderful beach have so far remained relatively untouched by tourism – there are hotels here, but development has not been over the top and so the area retains much of its scenic beauty and natural charm.

The beach, that spans as far as the eye can see, is one of the longest beaches on this section of Turkish coastline and so it’s a very popular spot with families looking to get away from it all, on a quiet holiday in Southern Turkey. Sarigerme is set on the coast of Southern Turkey just a few miles away from Dalaman and the International Airport. It’s the closest beach to Dalaman, and some visitors would argue that it’s actually the best beach in the area.

In the last few years Dalaman has been designated as a town that would greatly benefit from tourism and so the Turkish government is encouraging more, yet sustainable, development of the area. Because Sarigerme is essentially Dalaman’s beach this is one of the places that’s going to be further developed. A new, high class Hilton hotel has already been constructed and this smart hotel is going to set a precedent for further development.

For many visitors a holiday in Sarigerme is all about the beach. The long, sweeping beach disappears off into the horizon and is framed by pine clad mountains, making it all the more scenic. The beach is sandy and there are good facilities here that include changing rooms, showers and toilets, plus a range of places to buy snacks and drinks and rent beach chairs and umbrellas. To maintain the beach to the high standards it enjoys there’s a small usage fee that visitors will have to pay.

From the beach you can enjoy a selection of water sports, and if you’re feeling energetic you can swim out to an island, called Baba Adasi, not far off shore. The views back to Sarigerme Beach and the rest of the coast are pretty special, and if you do some exploring on the island you’ll come across an ancient structure that’s thought to have been a lighthouse. Long walks along Sarigerme Beach can be both relaxing and memorable, and especially peaceful now before more hotels are constructed in the area.
