Feel the rush of history with a rafting excursion down the Dalaman River, whose Class-II to Class-IV rapids once ran between the ancient civilizations of Caria and Lycia. The awe-inspiring wilderness, beautiful canyons, and ancient remains provide a perfect backdrop for this exhilarating ride.

A convenient pickup from your hotel begins the journey from Bodrum to the river. Once you arrive, change into your rafting gear and listen to instructions from your guide before you head to the water's edge, where it's time to set off to feel the thrill on the water. 

In between your time you spend paddling down the river and being carried through the rapid, you can make a stop halfway along the route for some swimming and cliff jumping. Towards the end, your raft passes under the ancient bridge for which the village of Akköprü is named. If you look closely, you can see the inscription etched on the bridge: "How lucky man I am, to have built this wonderful bridge over this enchanting river."

Finish off the experience with a hearty, well-deserved meal before you return to Bodrum after a day you won't forget.
